Crushing Secondary Breaking Equipment Mobile plant now features complete crushing system Terex MPS announced that its Cedarapids MACS plant has been designed to offer mobile high capacity crushing and screening The company said the name MACS short for Mobile Aggregate Crushing System reflects that the product is a complete package not a series of individual processing units No cranes or booms are required for setup as all conveyors are on board With larger crushers and screens than what are typically found on trackmounted or wheeled plants it touts the latest generation Terex Cedarapids MVP450X cone crusher Among the new features of the MVP450X are highspeed clearing of jammed material and quick crusher separation capability The trailers design permits travel throughout most of the U S with crushing and screening units under 13 ft 6 in high and under 12 ft wide With interplant conveyors separate transfer conveyors are not required Conveyors and walkways fold up with on board hydraulics while large hydraulic support legs level and stabilize the unit Its industrial electric drives allow the system to be powered by either high efficiency generators or line power www terexmps com Mobile crushing plants The Metso Lokotrack LT1213S is a fully equipped mobile impactor crushing plant with a high capacity screen and a return conveyor The LT1213 model offers the same features and options without a screen or return conveyor Both crushing plants are built around a Caterpillar C13 diesel engine The capacity is provided by the NP1213M impact crusher Both can be transported as a single unit on a low bed trailer A new radial return conveyor on the LT1213S provides easy operation in closed and open circuits The conveyor turns hydraulically and a new dual slope screen provides high on board screening capacity The screening unit can be docked in a few minutes Both units are designed to operate with other Lokotrack mobile crushing and screening plants A Metso gearbox provides an efficient crusher drive system with assisted start and brake A hydraulic circuit with independent fan and standby function gives up to 20 percent lower fuel consumption while providing more power for the crusher www metso com 44 PIT QUARRY June 2014 www pitandquarry com
