Pulley design enables uninterrupted operation in harsh conditions DoUglAs MAnUfAcTURIng designed the Vortex Spiral Clean Pulley for harsh operating conditions and applications where uninterrupted operation is required The company designed it as a self cleaning pulley that aids in belt tracking and moves the belt gently toward the middle of the pulley The Vortex runs smoothly and it provides reduced vibration and improved sealing at transfer points The pulley features an abrasion resistant center and edge support along with XT style bushings In addition Douglas Manufacturing designed the Vortex with a continuous flight design and continuous welds to prevent wing folding The pulleys plow design also forces tramp material to the edge of the pulley and discharges it down away from the belt bearings and other equipment The company says XT style bushings are standard while keyless locking elements and QD style bushings are optional features www douglasmanufacturing com pitandquarry com April 2017 PIT QUARRY 55
